Part VI - How does change begin?

There is no slower death than not finding out we have a purpose. Thinking we are here just by mere coincidence will usually keep us going around in circles and wasting our life away. Did you know that we are here with a purpose? If we get oriented and know what skills to develop, if we are at the right place at the right time, if we slow down and pay attention and are not so caught up within ourselves, we will find out. We think we don't have one, yet how much time of our life are we engaging to find out what it is?

I comprehended this was what was happening to me. I was tired of chasing my life around in circles… I was expecting to grow and become better but I would find myself at the same spot each time. Finally, I gave in, as I kept trying to look for something to live for… I had to try something different and I set foot in a church again… I felt a little better after I left the first time and that's the only reason why I continued going although there was a constant fight between my mind and my spirit. Part of me wanted to reach out to Heaven and call onto God but a bigger part of me kept asking "What God?" And where was He when…?" My life still felt safer in my hands with me making and directing all the decisions (as if already my decision making didn't let me down enough) I really just didn't know any better… the good thing is that change was just starting… He knew it all and although I had not realized it yet… I had nothing to worry about.

Anyways, I just grew curious… the rest is history. I do not know exactly what happened but one day I realized that I had finally felt the peace I kept searching after. I was so curious that I needed more information. I traded social media for bible and devotional apps and the more I read the bible the more I felt I knew where I was supposed to go. Reading the bible helped me discover that my main purpose is to spread love to others.
How much better a day can be by just being cheerful, appreciating others, and making them smile. Have you tried that ever? And no I don't mean to try it when you want to get your way with something… I mean have you tried it because it genuinely just overflows from your heart?

If I'm not wrong… this is what marked the beginning for me…

"When you are kind to others, it no only changes you. It changes THE WORLD."
